Adding Video To Your Website
Adding video to your site is pretty advanced, and I recommend getting into
after you've already been through some of the previous steps in building your website. But once you do, you'll see that it's never been easier to add video to your
site or blog. Adding video has been proven to increase sales conversions. Below are some websites and software that can help you take care of your
video needs quickly and easily.
1. Traffic Geyser
Traffic Geyser can help you to automate a lot
of your video needs. For example, it can upload your videos to the social media sites such as YouTube or MySpace all at once, and submit
to the social bookmarking sites as well, which will save you a lot of time, and get you those inbound links you've been looking for.
Traffic Geyser can also host your videos for you. They'll give you a simple piece of code to add to your website or blog, and you're done.
Traffic Geyser really is the perfect tool for taking care of your videos. Their social media uploading service works so quickly, some
people have seen their videos on the first page of Google in about 10-15 minutes. I know that sounds too good to be true, and it may not
be a typical result, but it definitely has happened. I've seen it. See all of Traffic Geyser's features in my video review.

2. Screencast
Screencast is run by the same people who
make the Camtasia software (listed below). They will host your videos for you on their server so you don't have to use up any space on yours. They simply give you a
small piece of code to add to your website or blog. The videos that you upload have to be in flash format, they won't convert them for
you. If you need to convert your files, then take a look at New Video Pro below.
3. New Video Pro
New Video Pro works in much the same
way as Screencast, above. They host your videos on their server and give you a simple code to add to your website or blog. The difference
is that they will convert your video to flash for you. In fact, it can't be in flash already. They have to convert it. If you're making
videos that are already in the flash format, then try Screencast. If not, then try New Video Pro. See all of New Video Pro's features in
my video review.

Note: The reason I recommend the websites above over free social media sites like YouTube is this: If you're showing a YouTube video on your site,
when it ends it immediately switches to recommended video links, and the next thing you know, your visitors are watching your competitors'
videos and linking to their websites. I think social media sites are great for showing your videos and creating backlinks to your site,
and of course for socializing, but if you want to post a video directly on your own site, go with one of the websites above or host them yourself if you can.
4. Tube Mogul
Tube Mogul is free to use and canupload your videos to the social media sites for you the same way as Traffic Geyser above, but on a much smaller scale, and with fewer features.
But if you're just starting out, you might rather go with Tube Mogul for free. At least for now.
VIDEO CREATION AND EDITING SOFTWARE
Camtasia
Camtasia is the software used the most often by website owners
to create high quality videos. Have you ever seen a video that was basically a shot of someone's computer screen and the website or
software they were using? They were most likely using Camtasia. You can try their software for free for 30 days, so there's no risk
involved. And they have a lot of video tutorials for you to watch so you can see exactly how it works.
Note: In some cases, you'll need to convert your video to a different format so that it's compatible with certain
websites. Here are two places you can convert your files for free.
